Across the Grooves
A downloadable narrative game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Across the Grooves is an interactive graphic novel, set in a magical-realism universe, where your decisions affect the destiny of Alice, the main character, drastically changing her reality and allowing her to explore alternative destinies by modifying her past.
Story
Alice lives an uneventful life. She's in a long term relationship, has a stable office job and a nice apartment in the center of Bordeaux. One day, Ulysse, her ex-lover, comes back into her life through an old vinyl record she receives in the mail. When she puts it for a spin on turntable, she is thrown back into her own past, forced to relive old events. When she comes back to the present, her reality has changed and her fiancé no longer knows her, as if they never met.
Determined to bring her life back on track, Alice packs up and embarks on a hunt across Europe, following the tracks of Ulysse while trying to uncover the origins of the record. However, her journey gradually turns into a quest of self-discovery as she explores new parallel realities each time she puts the needle in the groove.

I discovered Along the Edge during quarantine in 2020, and I fell in love. I played through every route and unlocked all the achievements. Somehow, I didn't see Across the Grooves. ATG surpassed my expectations (and after ATE, my expectations were high!), and I was much more emotionally invested in Alice. I played through twice (I love Alan), and after a while, I'll go play through try to see Jean-Baptiste.
I have always loved your artistic style, and the music was beautiful and crafted perfectly for the ambiance of the game and matched the tone and mood. I really hope there are plans for another game similar to ATE and ATG in the works! 5/5
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed our games. Our next game promises to be a bit different, but if all goes according to plan, the one after that should be the next title in the ATE/ATG series. ;) Stay tuned! ~Geoffroy.
Hi Nova-box! I saw that End of Lines was released, but itch won't let me purchase the game. It just shows me an error screen. Is this a glitch on my end?
It's no released yet, still in development. It will come out later this year.
Hi, I'm a french fan of all your games. I played the two previous that I really liked especially Along The edge I loved the unique style of making choices and figuring out the consequences later. A good friend of mine offered me this game and let me tell you I'm really happy. I'm not even done yet with my first playthrough but I'm so enjoying it so far. You really succeeded to bring back some elements of Along the edge with some mysteries elements of Seer Isle. This comment is just here to congrats the team for this beautiful new game (the songs are amazing) and I can't wait to see your next projects. Wish you the best :)
Thanks a lot for your kind words. It means a lot to us. :) ~Geoffroy.
Does Across the Grooves use Unity or your old Electron based engine ? I remember a developer on your team mentioning you were thinking about a switch but i'm not sure if this game is part of that.
Hi! We've indeed made the switch to Unity with this game. ~Geoffroy.
Sounds interesting, i'll keep an eye out for it on release.
Can't wait! Previous games were enchanting. Good luck :)
I can see the 4 symbols at the top of the screenshots, does this mean you are going to follow the same system as in Seers Isle? Because if that's the case... I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. I feel like Along the Edge had a much better execution and narrative compared to Seers Isle. With Along the Edge choices felt meaningful, while with the SI system... It just didn't.
Also, to clarify, something I would really like to know as early as possible is, will we get locked to certain characters depending on stats like on SI, or we will we able to actively choose the characters we want to get with like in AtE?
This game will definitely be more akin to Along the Edge than to Seers Isle. I'm sorry to hear you enjoyed one more than the other, but I certainly hope you will give us another chance to win you over! ~Geoffroy.
